Edgewood has crummy soil. My friends who live in the valley are always amazed that anyone would want to farm/garden on the hill. Mostly rocks. Worse yet is the impermeable clay barrier 8-15′ down. That’s why there’s so many septic problems in the winter. Once the soil is saturated, the water has no where to go but sideways.

The part of negotiating I always like is when my client urges me to negotiate a particular price for a property. No problem. But then I always make sure to ask if its OK if they don’t get the house. Many times the answer is no.

Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion written by Robert Cialdini is one of my favorite books. You cannot be serious about marketing or negotiating without having devoured this book.

Under Washington’s Community Renewal Law (CRL), once an area is declared “blighted” (a vague and subjective term that could apply to almost any property in Washington) the government can condemn the homes and business in the area and transfer them to private developers.

The Best Thing About Edgewood, WA

Edgewood has some of the best tasting water available anywhere. Mt. View Edgewood Water Company is owned by the residents of Edgewood (you have to be a shareholder to obtain service) and maintains its own wells. But some water shares don’t automatically transfer with a home sale.
