Here’s the winning entry for this year’s Salsa Showdown at the Puyallup Fair. The Spicy Plum & Green Chile Salsa entry was from an original recipe created by Corey Long of Federal Way, WA. It was the unanimous first place selection of the three judges.
Spicy Plum & Green Chile Salsa
Ingredients:
- 1 roasted green chile, chopped
- 1/4 cup red onion, diced
- 6-7 ripe plums, diced
- 1 tablespoon plum jelly
- 1 cup garlic, diced
- salt and pepper to taste
Mix the ingredients together & refrigerate. Serve with chips or crackers. Best next day.
