Money magazine forecasts Seattle median prices to decline 9% by May 2009

Money magazine published an article showing forecasts for May 2009 of median real estate prices in various cities.
Overall they expect median home price to decline 9.7%. They forecast Seattle median prices to decline by 9%.

April 2008 Real Estate Statistics for Edgewood and Surrounding Cities Shows Improvement

Statistics for April 2008 for Edgewood and surrounding cities have just been updated.
Things are improving over March in all areas. Inventories remain high, however, in all areas. Interestingly, King County shows an uptick in overall inventory while Pierce County’s went down. Usually, you see the reverse.

The City of Edgewood wants you to buy a park… at a price of $2760 per taxpayer.

The City of Edgewood is proposing spending $8 million dollars for a park at 36th & Meridian.
It might be a nice park but it sure seems like a lot of money particularly during this time of declining home values… $2760 for the average taxpayer (including interest).
